Happy New Year everyone!

I just wanted to give a great big thank you to all my amazing clients this past year. I have been blessed by each of you over the past year. I am excited for 2017, and for the new faces I will photograph, and also the familiar ones that keep coming back! Lets make it a beautiful year to remember!

I don’t really make any resolutions going into the new year, but I did create some new goals for myself a few months ago. One of those goals was focusing on my health (thyroid/weight problems) – and guess what? I’m headed into the new year 17 pounds lighter! Holla! Big hugs everyone and cheers to an amazing 2017! xoxo Jana

Brian & Stephanie

Knightsen, CA

Intimate East Bay Backyard Wedding

Reception: Cap’s Restaurant, Brentwood, CA

Stephanie planned the most beautiful, intimate, backyard wedding – in three weeks! Everything came together beautifully. We did encounter quite a bit of rain, but they had a beautiful white tent to keep everyone dry. The house was filled with hustle and bustle, kids running around and giggling. Stephanie and Brian really wanted the timeline of the day to fall into place organically without having to stress about anything! I have to say, they are one of the most low key couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Everyone was so happy (despite the rain). The reception followed at a local restaurant, Cap’s. This was a local owned mom & pop steakhouse! The food was delicious, and service was great.

The father – daughter dance. There was not a dry eye in the room. Such a beautiful moment watching the two of them embrace each other, almost as if they were having a private moment and the rest of us were just observing from afar. Her dad was so sweet and filled with so much joy, being able to see his daughter marry the man of her dreams. You see, her dad has cancer. He had received some not-very-good news in October, and Stephanie planned this wedding in three weeks flat, not to miss this beautiful milestone with her dad. I get all teared up every time I look at these images, and I hope they will bless her and her family.
